  • What Is Involved With ERP Optimization?

    The first step is to complete an assessment, and a Business Process Assessment (BPA) is the tool for this process. A BPA is an end-to-end systematic examination of an organization’s current processes to identify inefficiencies, areas for improvement, and potential cost savings. It is a complete operations evaluation of your systems and processes focusing on unique business objectives.

    This is a detailed survey of each area of your organization, done in a highly efficient manner without causing disruption to your daily operations. It is also painless and highly affordable for your organization.

    During the BPA, we identify areas of waste and inefficiencies that create hidden costs. The outcome of this examination is a comprehensive list of inefficiencies and process problems, along with advice on how these processes can be optimized using best practices. It is the Roadmap for Process Improvement for your business, and a guide for continuous improvement for your business.

    The key steps in a business process assessment include:

      1. Identifying the processes to be assessed: This includes determining which processes are most critical to the organization and which processes are most in need of improvement.
      2. Mapping the current state of the processes: This includes documenting the steps in each process, identifying the inputs and outputs, and identifying the stakeholders involved.
      3. Developing recommendations for improvement: Based on the analysis of the current processes, recommendations are developed to improve their efficiency. These recommendations include process redesign, automation, or the implementation of ERP functionality previously deployed.
      4. The Implementation Workshop: Once the recommendations have been presented, we meet to develop a detailed plan whereby process improvements are prioritized and resources and timelines for completion are determined. Continuous Improvement (or “Kaizen” in Japanese) is our recommendation for every client.
      5. Ongoing Coaching: Our team is there to assist with the implementation and management of the project. As improvements are implemented, they are closely monitored to ensure that the desired improvements have been achieved and reviewed with top management.
